"JAZZ & BLUES CRUISE BENEFITS RED BANK FESTIVAL"
Red Bank - March 25, 2005. Want to kick off the summer in style while supporting a good cause?
Come on board the Jazz and Blues Harbor Cruise on Sunday, May 22, presented by The Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation and Seastreak to benefit the Foundation’s CD101.9 Red Bank Jazz and Blues Festival. The evening cruise will depart Atlantic Highlands, NJ at 6 pm sharp with a stop in Manhattan for a 6:45 pm departure from Pier 11, touring the New York harbor and Statue of Liberty. On-air staff from CD101.9 New York Chill will be on hand for dancing to live jazz and blues, buffet and cash bar, and of course catching that gorgeous sunset over the Manhattan skyline. Revelers may disembark at Pier 11 at 8:15 pm or Atlantic Highlands at 9 pm.
Supplying the jazz is guitar master Jerry Tropinka. Jerry has been playing for half a century and sits in weekly with famed guitarist Les Paul at the Iridium Club in New York.
New York Blues Queen Roxy Perry, known for her big city style and her powerful and expressive voice and harp will showcase music from her latest CD, due out in May.
